Itinerary (4 Days / 3 Nights)
Day 1: Addis Ababa – Bale Mountains (Dinsho)
- Morning departure from Addis Ababa to Bale Mountains via Shashemene and Dodola.
- Lunch en route.
- Arrive at Dinsho Park HQ, meet park guides, and enjoy a short hike to spot mountain nyala and Menelik’s bushbuck.
- Overnight at Dinsho Lodge or campsite.
Day 2: Dinsho – Gaysay Grasslands – Sanetti Plateau
- Early breakfast and drive to Gaysay Grasslands for wildlife spotting.
- Continue to the Sanetti Plateau (4,000 m), known for Ethiopian wolf sightings.
- Stop at Tulu Dimtu, the highest peak in the Bale Mountains (4,377 m).
- Return to Dinsho for dinner and overnight.
Day 3: Dinsho – Harenna Forest – Katcha
- Drive south to explore the Harenna Forest, famous for its bamboo groves and rare wildlife.
- Visit Katcha or Rira villages for local coffee ceremonies and cultural experiences.
- Overnight at Bale Mountains Lodge or campsite.
Day 4: Bale Mountains – Addis Ababa
- Early morning nature walk or bird-watching in Harenna Forest.
- Drive back to Addis Ababa with lunch en route.
- Drop-off at your hotel or airport in the evening.
