This immersive 5-day tour is tailored for coffee lovers, professionals, and enthusiasts who want to experience the journey of Ethiopian coffee — from farm to cup — right at one of the country’s premium coffee origins. You’ll visit authentic coffee farms, processing stations, and interact with Guji coffee producers while soaking in the rich Oromo culture, breathtaking scenery, and forest ecology.

📅 Itinerary

Day 1: Addis Ababa – Awassa – Dilla

• Early morning departure from Addis Ababa
• Drive south via the Rift Valley (approx. 6–7 hrs total driving)
• Stop at Awassa Fish Market and Lake Awassa
• Continue to Dilla for overnight
• Overnight: Hotel in Dilla

Day 2: Dilla – Shakiso – Guji Coffee Region

• Morning drive towards Shakiso and the Guji Highlands
• Visit selected Guji coffee farms and smallholder cooperatives
• Learn about organic and shade-grown farming practices
• Meet local farmers and walk through the coffee forest
• Overnight: Lodge or camping in Guji region

Day 3: Full Day Coffee Immersion in Guji

• Visit a wet mill and washing station
• See the harvesting, pulping, fermenting, and drying process
• Cup fresh Guji coffee with local experts
• Optional forest hike or cultural visit to local Oromo community
• Overnight: Lodge or camping in Guji region

Day 4: Guji – Yirgacheffe – Dilla

• Scenic drive northward to Yirgacheffe, another iconic coffee region
• Visit a cooperative or estate to compare processing with Guji
• Participate in a coffee cupping session
• Drive back to Dilla for overnight
• Overnight: Hotel in Dilla

Day 5: Dilla – Addis Ababa

• Return to Addis Ababa
• Visit a specialty coffee shop or roastery in Addis
• Evening: traditional farewell dinner with live music and dance
• Transfer to airport/hotel – End of Tour
